Conroe, TX Mosquito Control
An aggressive mosquito population around your home can make outdoor life unlivable when left unchecked. Throw in a few mosquito-borne viruses (called arboviruses), and you have a Texas-size problem that needs solving, and lucky for you, GreenGate Turf & Pest has you covered.
GreenGate offers various Conroe, TX residential and commercial services so you and your family can return to enjoying the outdoors again. If you’re looking for the best mosquito treatment service in Conroe, look no further than GreenGate Turf & Pest.
2-For-1 Mosquito Treatment Service
Like all GreenGate Turf & Pest services, we don’t attack a problem just halfway; we go for the whole enchilada. GreenGates award-winning mosquito yard treatment is a 2-for-1 program performed every 30 days, not 21 days, like most mosquito spray companies. This is because adding In2Care Trap Pots adds an extra layer of protection, prolonging our mosquito treatment’s effectiveness.
When our licensed pest technician arrives at your Conroe, TX home, he will perform the two services described below.
Yard Treatment For Mosquitos
A GreenGate technician will apply a mosquito barrier spray to all the vegetation around your home and fence lines. Male mosquitos and females not ready to lay eggs will roost on landscape vegetation and suck the plant juices, making contact with the pesticide.
Once the mosquitos come into contact with our safe for your family and pets mosquito yard treatment, the mosquito soon dies. Unlike mosquito spray companies, this is not a “fogging” program but a targeted attack on mosquitoes and the places they like to refuge.
in2Care Mosquito Trap Pots
GreenGate aggressively uses In2Care Pots, the cornerstone of our highly effective mosquito treatment for yards. Here’s how it works;
The In2care Mosquito Trap Pot is made of durable plastic and uses water with an odor lure to attract egg-laying Aedes mosquitoes. Once inside the In2Care Trap, mosquitoes contact the specially treated gauze near the water surface and are instantly contaminated with a larvicide and a fungus.
GreenGate exploits the fact that Aedes mosquitos like to divide their eggs over multiple sites. By letting them fly out of the Trap while carrying larvicide on their legs, they will then transport and contaminate several other breeding areas around the Trap. This way, we can kill larvae in small, hard-to-find breeding sources. The mosquito also gets infected with an insect-specific fungus that kills her before she can spread the disease.

Mosquito Control Service FAQ
We combat mosquitos with a two-fold system. First, we place In2Care Mosquito Traps around the property. In2Care traps are designed to lure in mosquitoes, forcing them to come into contact with a biocide they take back to their breeding ground. We then apply a barrier spray using a backpack sprayer designed for precise application to shrubs, plants, fence lines, etc. The spray kills mosquitoes on contact and bonds to foliage, acting as a mosquito repellent for weeks after application.
Absolutely! The Insect Vector Control Division of the Trinidad Ministry of Health and the Mosquito Research and Control Unit of the Cayman Islands have scientifically validated the effectiveness of our mosquito control products. Efficacy validations have also been published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Our mosquito barrier application and In2Care bait is effective for up to four weeks.
We schedule our mosquito control treatments, and refresh your In2Care pots every 30 days.
Once the application dries (about 30 mins), our barrier spray is clear, odorless, and harmless to people and pets. In2Care pot ingredients “are not toxic to birds or mammals. We make use of a biological fungus that is only toxic to insects. The larvicide deployed in the trap specifically targets mosquito larvae and is not toxic to higher organisms in this low concentration,” according to In2Care.
According to In2Care, “The In2Care Mosquito Station targets two life stages of the mosquito, the adults and the larvae, at the moment they pupate. Adult mosquitoes are lured to the Station and deposit eggs in the water. Inside the Station, they sit on the floater gauze and become contaminated with a slow-killing biological fungus and a larvicide. The fungus infection takes a few days to kill the mosquito and can block Dengue virus replication. In the meantime, the infected mosquito will also spread larvicide to breeding sites around the Station. Aedes mosquitoes are skip-ovipositors (laying their eggs in multiple sites) and will carry the larvicide on their legs and kill larvae in each water body they visit.”
Most yards need 2-3 In2Care Mosquito Traps, sold separately.
Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to completely eliminate mosquitos. However, GreenGates’ effective combination of a monthly spray and the use of in2care pots will help to greatly reduce the populations of mosquitos nearby.
