What Working With
GreenGate Looks Like
1. Your Quote
When you request a quote, our team will review your property information, including square footage, so we can have accurate pricing ready to go. If you request a quote online, we’ll give you a call to discuss your needs and walk through your options. If you call us, we’ll gather the information we need while learning more about your property, current concerns, and goals.
2. Set Up Your Account
Once you accept your estimate, you’ll receive an email to securely add your payment method and set up your online customer portal. Once your payment method is added and your spot is secured on our schedule, we promise to complete your first service within 5 business days.*
3. Before Your Visit
You’ll know when we’re coming. For your first fertilization, pest control, or irrigation visit, we’ll send a 24-hour email and text notification.* After your first service, you’ll receive notifications 48 and 24 hours before each scheduled visit.
For mowing customers in select service areas, we’ll provide a regular mow day. Your property will be serviced on the same day each week or every other week, depending on your selected schedule.
4. Service Day
Your trained technician or mowing crew will complete your scheduled service while keeping an eye on conditions around your property. If you’re opted in to GreenGate text notifications, you’ll also receive a text when your technician or crew is on the way.
5. After Your Visit
We’ll keep you informed after the service is complete with service information, technician notes, observations, and recommendations when applicable.
Mowing-only customers will also receive a check-in after their first service to make sure everything is up to par.
6. After The Truck Leaves
Our service doesn’t end when the truck pulls away. If you have a question, concern, or notice something that doesn’t look right between visits, contact our team. We’ll help you understand what’s happening and determine the appropriate next step.
*Text notifications require customer opt-in. First-service scheduling may vary due to weather, service type, property access, and other conditions.
SAFETY FOR THE PEOPLE AND PETS WHO ACTUALLY LIVE HERE
Product safety starts with following the label. Our licensed technicians apply products according to label directions, including application rates, treatment areas, and any precautions for people and pets. When an EPA registration number applies, you’ll find it in your post-service communication.
Before We Treat
Your technician will check the treatment area for people and pets before an application begins. If a pet is outside and we can’t safely access or treat an area, we may skip that portion of the property and let you know.
While The Product Dries
Keep people and pets off treated areas until the application has fully dried or as otherwise directed on the product label. Drying time can vary based on the product, weather, and conditions at your property.
Know What Was Used On Your Property
Your post-service communication includes applicable EPA registration numbers for products used on your property, giving you a clear record of your treatment.
When Things Don't Go As Scheduled
Weather changes, gates get locked, and dogs get let out. Here’s how we handle the unexpected instead of leaving you guessing:
❌ We can’t get in
If a gate is locked or blocked, we’ll attempt to knock on your door or ring the doorbell. We’ll complete the service in accessible areas and leave a door sticker explaining which area we couldn’t treat.
Want us to come back and complete the missed area? Call, text, or email our team to request a complimentary return visit.
🐕 A pet is in the yard
We won’t apply products around an unsecured pet, and we won’t open a gate when there’s a dog we don’t know on the other side. Your technician will attempt to reach you by knocking, calling, or texting. If we can’t reach you, we’ll service the accessible areas and leave a door sticker explaining what we were unable to complete.
Want us to come back? Call, text, or email our team to request a complimentary return visit.
⛈️ Rain & Severe Weather
We won’t treat through conditions that could compromise the application or create unsafe working conditions. When weather prevents us from completing your scheduled service, we’ll notify you and reschedule for the next available service day—typically within 5 business days.
What if it rains after your treatment? Many applications are not affected by rainfall after they’ve had the appropriate time to settle or dry. If you’re unsure about a recent treatment, contact our team and we’ll let you know whether any action is needed.
⏰ We’re running behind
Routes don’t always go exactly as planned. If we won’t be able to complete your service on its scheduled day, we’ll notify you by email rather than leave you wondering. Your service will be moved to the next available day.
What we won’t do: Mark a service complete if we didn’t perform it, or charge you for a visit we weren’t able to make.
And if plans change, we’ll communicate with you. You shouldn’t have to wonder whether we’re still coming.
No Guessing. See What Our Communication Looks Like.
Service report
After service, customers receive information about the work completed along with technician notes, observations, instructions, and recommendations when applicable. This is only a portion of our post-visit feedback.
Itemized Invoice
Our invoices clearly identify the service completed, applicable charges, credits, fees, and account totals so you know what you’re paying for.
TREATMENT CALENDAR
See what’s happening throughout the year in our Fertilization & Weed Control Program and how your lawn treatments change with Houston’s seasons.
Honest Lawn Care Means Setting Honest Expectations
You CAN Expect Us To:
- Communicate with you
- Explain our recommendations
- Provide clear service information
- Respond when you have concerns
- Stand behind covered treatments
- Be honest about what's affecting your lawn
- Treat you and your property with respect
What We WON'T Promise:
- Overnight transformations
- That you'll never see another weed
- That treatments can overcome poor irrigation or other environmental conditions like poor drainage or shade
- Results that are not realistically achievable
- Services you don't need
Great Lawns Are a Team Effort
A healthy lawn is a partnership. We’ll handle the professional treatments, monitor your lawn throughout the year, and let you know when we see something that needs attention. But some of the biggest factors affecting your lawn happen between our visits, and that’s where you come in.
- Proper Watering & Sprinkler Coverage
Your lawn needs the right amount of water and head-to-head sprinkler coverage to make sure that water is actually reaching the entire lawn.
- Correct Mowing Practices
Proper mowing height and frequency help protect the turf from stress and support the results of your lawn care program.
- Adequate Sunlight
Even the best lawn care program can’t replace sunlight. Heavy shade can cause turf to thin or struggle regardless of how well it’s treated.
- Letting us know when something doesn't look right
You see your lawn every day. We don’t. If something changes between visits, send us a photo or give us a call so we can help identify what’s happening before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
Our promise: We’ll do our part, help you understand yours, and be honest when something outside of a treatment is affecting your results.
Don't Just Take Our Word For It
Choose this place! They are reliable, easy to contact, and have great customer service! When we found a bug in our home a month after getting it treated they were prompt to schedule a re-treatment, no questions asked. Each serviceperson has been personable and gone above and beyond to do a thorough job. During our most recent treatment they put up ant baits and extra traps without us asking because they noticed it would be helpful for us. Great service!
Kara H.
Jeff was extremely professional and displayed tons of knowledge regarding the proper care of our home and which products work most effectively. I’m so happy with our decision to partner with GreenGate.
Marlon A.
Just had our 2nd application and the weeds in the yard are really under control and the grass is filling in. Rocky did a great job! He explained what he was going to do, answered my questions, and even checked for bugs in the brown spots to see if we had an issue. Very happy with the service and highly recommend!

We Stand Behind Our Work
If you’re experiencing a covered issue between scheduled visits, let us know. Our team will review what’s happening and determine the right next step—whether that’s a complimentary re-service, additional guidance, or identifying another condition that may be affecting your results.
OUR RE-SERVICE PROMISE IN ACTION
🌱 Weeds Between Treatments
It’s been three weeks since your fertilization and weed control service, and you’ve noticed a persistent weed emerging. Contact GreenGate, and we’ll schedule a complimentary weed control re-service. Our team will typically be out within 5 business days.*
🐜 Lawn Insects Between Treatments
A fire ant mound pops up two months after your last lawn insecticide treatment. Let us know. We’ll come back out and treat the activity at no additional charge.*
🏠 Pests Inside Your Home
You’ve been on GreenGate’s quarterly home pest control service for a year and completed an interior treatment when you signed up—but you’ve recently started noticing silverfish inside. Give us a call and we’ll schedule a complimentary interior re-service to address the activity.*
🔎 Something Just Doesn’t Look Right
You’re seeing an area of struggling turf, but you’re not sure whether it’s drought stress, fungus, insect damage, an irrigation issue, or something else. Contact our team and we’ll help determine what’s happening and recommend the appropriate next step—even when the answer isn’t another treatment.
*Re-service timing may vary due to weather, scheduling, service type, and other conditions. Re-services are subject to program coverage and service terms. Weed re-services specifically are only permitted 14 days or more after the last application, as it is important to allow time for the product to work as intended. If a re-service is requested at the same time the property is due for a full service, the paid service will be scheduled instead of a re-service.
